GRR Reviews In Two Weeks (New York State Troopers) by Jen Talty
In Two Weeks is a romantic suspense between a strong woman and a New York State trooper who may be taking a better job elsewhere. The time limit forced them to confront their feelings, and their willingness to sacrifice for each other.
Ryan O'Connor is a girl with a boy's name, and she never lets people forget about it. She's strong, feisty, and full of life, and she's had a thing for Jared Blake for years, even though she never imagined herself with him long term. For Jared is a NY State Trooper with a strong protective instinct that Ryan found smothering. But when a stalker went after Ryan, Jared have to decide whether accepting a transfer to a more exciting post is worth giving up Ryan for good.
The push-pull between the two is good, and the suspense build-up is great, though the two talking about sacrifice a wee bit much, IMHO, of course, and the red herrings are great as well. All in all, a good solid read.
