GRR Reviews Mail Order Bride: His Russian Darling by April Jane
His Russian Darling is a historical mail-order bride story about sacrifice and finding the good in bad circumstances. However, there doesn't seem to be much romance.
Rosaline Belikov came to the US to seek a better life, having left Russia and noble life behind. Her childhood sweetheart's apothecary is failing, and the only way she can keep him in the Americas is for her to become a mail order bride and send him and her mother the money to help him through the tough times... Or he will have to leave American anyway with a no-win situation, she chose to marry herself out West, all the way to Montana, to an older rancher who knew her heart was already someone else's, then proceed to woo her anyway...
There really wasn't that much more as the older rancher managed to win Rosaline over. There's a couple other bonus stories but that's mostly filler material.
