GRR Reviews Seaside Dreams (Love in Bloom: Seaside by Melissa Foster
Seaside Dreams is a "small town romance" with the complication of a child that may be falling with the wrong crowd. There was sufficient angst but not too much, as this is not romantic suspense, but just enough to keep the plot and complications moving.
Bella came back to Wellfleet, MA every summer to be with her girlfriends, but this summer is different... She sold her house in the city and quit her job, intending to reinvent her life. She did not expect to meet the new police officer Caden. Caden left Boston with her son Evan after his partner was killed in the line of duty and he decided he can't risk his life and Evan's future. Caden never felt love, not even the accident that gave him Evan all those years back, until he saw Bella, and he was determined to romance her properly. But when Evan fell in with the wrong crowd, will Caden have to give up Bella to give Evan the attention he deserved?
Basically, the darkest hour was Caden decided he can't multi-task. It took a lecture from an unlikely source to make him see that he's being... stubborn. There are enough complications to make things interesting, but not that angsty or otherwise too emotional.
