GRR Reviews All I Want for Christmas is You (Fate with by Lisa Mondello
"All I want for Christmas Is You" by Lisa Mondello is a Christmas miracle / romance that almost made my teeth ache due to all the sweetness. Okay, slight exaggeration, but it's really got that "awwwwww" warm and fuzzy feeling.
Lauren Alexander is alone raising her daughter and making do. Her family abandoned her when she chose to keep the baby rather than giving her up for adoption. Little Kristen is now six, and Lauren is barely scraping by, determined to be self-reliant. She was devastated when she found out her daughter's wish was not for herself, but find a daddy for mommy. But the mall Santa that Kristen told the wish to is Kyle Preston... a self-made millionaire who was adopted and given a lot of love, and he wants to give a lot of love back to the community. He has a plan for a happy Christmas for Lauren and Kristen. But can he get Lauren to trust him? And can they have a beautiful Christmas... together?
As this is a Holiday miracle kind of romance, basically is "good things happen to good people", and that would be Lauren... If she will just let go of her guard and let him in, but it was her temporary weakness that produced Kristen... and she really has no time for a rich guy... I do find Kyle to be a bit on the bland side, but it's a fun holiday tale.
