GRR Reviews Rough Hard Fierce by Skye Warren

Rough Hard Fierce is a fated mates story between two damaged people that had a lot of circumstances that came between them. However, it was all from FMC's view, and it certainly has a lot of plot. But we don't know about the MMC's view or thoughts, and somehow, the story feels a little incomplete.

Allie hides her secret shame by going to a bar and do a random pickup every once in a while. But one night, when the guy got too far, she was rescued by a rough but good guy Colin, who actually pleasured her instead of roughing her up. And he was interested in having a relationship with her. And for the first time in many years, she actually had hope about the direction of her life... because her daughter was the result of an attack, and her best friend sells her body to make a living... But the more she got to know Colin, the more she wondered how many secrets were he hiding... Complications soon arrived in the form of her daughter's father, dirty cops who wanted to hurt Colin and his brother and they don't care whom they have to destroy to do it, even if Allie ended up being collateral damage...

I am not quite sure what to make of this novel. The plot was deft, but the emotional turmoil was not quite there. This, unlike most romances, did not alternate views. It was ALL from Allie. We are left to wonder about Colin's mindset, and I'm more confused than amused.
