GRR Reviews LOVE'S SUNRISE by Dorothy Wiley

It is the year 1806 in wild portion of Kentucky. Gabe McGrath was returning from Lexington to his homestead when lightning spooked his horse, and he was thrown. He found his horse had fallen and broke its leg, and had to be put down. He was forced to seek shelter with his neighbor, the Wyllies. He was surprised to find that the Wyllies have a beautiful daughter Martha, and the patriarch, Stephen, is a kind and generous man. When he learned Gabe's difficulties, he offered Gabe a job as a ranch hand. Gabe reluctantly accepted, but his heart is burning with vengeance. Months ago, his family was wiped out by six bandits only miles away from reaching the homestead. When other ranchhands reported that a calf is missing, they found a body in the forest and possibly killed by the six bandits that roamed the area. Wyllie called in reinforcements: his brother the sheriff, but the bandits may prove to be a worthy match... and a chance for Gabe to get justice after all... even as Martha had to decide whether to love Gabe or is her obligation to her dead mother and her family more important than love?

Nice details and good adventure. Romance is rather minimal, but it's the conflicting emotions and responsibilities that made the story good. And I like the setting a lot.
