GRR Reviews Crane's Bride by Linda Ford
Byler Crane is ready to start anew in the West. His wagon is all ready to go... but he needed a wife. His ad in the local mercantile brought forth Maggie... who's single and barely eighteen, but also eager to start over. However, he had no idea what sort of woman she was. Before they left town, they added a boy and a girl to their impromptu family barely after they signed the marriage certificate... Because she cannot stand aside and watch injustice be done. Maggie did not expect love, but perhaps, with Crane at her side, love will follow...
While the adventure and a bit of mischief they got into is interesting, Crane is just a push-over. Sure, there's some injustice, and the situation's justified, but Crane's a big softie. Maggie was making all the decisions. Doesn't sound like a guy ready to conquer the west.
