GRR Reviews Driven to Date by Susan Hatler

Jill had worked five years for her law firm and was ready to be named a partner. When the partners announced that the boss's nephew would be given the job instead, Jill starts looking for an exit plan by attending a wedding and schmooze boss of a different law firm... headed by a woman, who is intending to hire someone. However, this prospective boss has a condition... Does Jill have someone special in her life? It makes for a much more stable work-life balance. Jill, who had just broken up with her boring BF not long ago, had a sudden inspiration: she invited the best man Ryan to play her BF, as they previous seem to have some chemistry together. To her horror, the next day, boss's nephew, the one that "stole her job" is none other than Ryan, and her little pretense is about to blow up in her face. Breaking it off may derail her exit strategy, but keeping it up is too painful a reminder of what could have been. However, the more she got to know Ryan, the more tempted she is to see how real can her relationship with Ryan can go...

The ending turned a bit too convenient, but it's good karma nonetheless. I've read other books with the same plot, and this one broke no new grounds, just enjoying.
