GRR Reviews Love Bats Last by Pamela Aares

Alex Tavonesi is an MLB all-star, and tries to run his family vineyard in Sonoma Valley of California during his off-time with help of his staff, although he had a lot of interest in marine biology as a youngster. // Jackie Brandon is a marine mammal veterinarian, running from her aristocratic past, and memories of a soccer star who did a runaway groom before their wedding. Now Jackie runs the Marine Mammal rescue center on the Norcal coast... and hundreds of seals and sea lions are turning up dead. Someone upriver is releasing fertilizer into the soil, which is causing an algae bloom, which caused the deaths. It had to be one of the Vineyards... // Alex and Jackie met in a storm where they worked together to free a stranded whale. Alex realized Jackie is the woman he had never expected to find, but need in his life. But Jackie has a deep distrust of jocks. Jackie's determination to find the ones "poisoning" the bay means the culprits are trying to silence her. Will Alex be able to protect her and win her heart?

The scenario is a bit contrived, IMHO. I honestly don't see how an MLB player would have to time to run a vineyard, run around with a marine biologist, and still play the baseball games unless it's during the off-season. The other details are fine.
