GRR Reviews Spark by Tracy Brenton

Alex had to leave the city in the midst of a scandal and went home to small town, only to find her brother Dan in a coma, having saved her parent from a house fire, and Dan's best friend Jake taking over the auto repair shop (and the apartment upstairs). While helping out with the paperwork in the shop in exchange for living arrangements with Jake (since her parents no longer have a house), Alex also found that Dan apparently has something with the local loan shark, who threaten to take the money out of HER hide... Why didn't her parents tell her about Dan's predicament? Is her attraction to Jake real? How can they pay off the loan shark? Was fire at her parents' house an accident... or arson? Will Dan be okay?

Good mix of questions amidst budding relationship to build up tension. Dan and Jake are martial artists and you just knew Alex will pick up a move or two, and it can be the difference at the climax. However, the plot was a bit on the slow side.
