GRR Reviews The Billionaire Benefactor by Emma St Clair

Jenny was recently widowed, but her husband left her for another woman even before that, leaving her raising two kids alone. She was not expecting her childhood crush, the billionaire football star Roman, at her door in the morning ready to hand her an oversized show check with a photographer in tow. She's so surprised (and angered), she slammed the door on him. TWICE. // Roman understands struggle despite his wealth. He was surprised by Jenny's refusal, but he can work around that. He called a couple of his football buddies to help clean up her yard, her lawn, and so on, but ASKING HER FIRST this time. No more surprises. What did surprise him however was his growing affection for this single mother well outside his usual social circle.  But it's clear that both have great many issues before they can be together...

Hmmm... Some parts are good, but the plot took a while to get going. And even then, it felt as if the author threw in an amnesia trope near to end to prolong the agony for a bit. 4/5
