Ripley can't believe her mother's constant nagging about a boyfriend caused her to get a speeding ticket and talking while driving... even though the cop, Cash, is gorgeous. Her jaw hit the floor when her family mistook Cash for her boyfriend over the phone and managed to mail him an ugly Christmas sweater as well as home-made sugar cookies. Ripley and Cash can't be more different. She's a control freak who loves Christmas, just not her family's nagging. He's a bachelor with private scars that is trying to take things easy... and a total scrooge. But Ripley was TOTALLY shocked when he agreed to be her "fake boyfriend" to host her family in town... But will either of them survive the process? And when the fake relationship took on a life of its own, where will it lead?
Great sit-com, though trope-ridden, especially the "crazy grandparent". Still, it's heck funny. 4.5/5

Then came the news that he may have fathered a daughter... // Madi is raising Becka alone after death of her sister. But Madi needs child support from the father, whom a friendly lawyer said is none other than Beckett. // Beckett and Madi meet, as Beckett needs an heir, and Becka would do. Madi is not about to give up custody to a cold single businessman, and Beckett can't really let his heir be raised elsewhere... But is Madi a golddigger like her sister? Good twist, and actually quite sweet. The mixed feelings really come through. 5/5

GRR Reviews The Billionaire Benefactor by Emma St Clair
Jenny was recently widowed, but her husband left her for another woman even before that, leaving her raising two kids alone. She was not expecting her childhood crush, the billionaire football star Roman, at her door in the morning ready to hand her an oversized show check with a photographer in tow. She's so surprised (and angered), she slammed the door on him. TWICE. // Roman understands struggle despite his wealth. He was surprised by Jenny's refusal, but he can work around that. He called a couple of his football buddies to help clean up her yard, her lawn, and so on, but ASKING HER FIRST this time. No more surprises. What did surprise him however was his growing affection for this single mother well outside his usual social circle. But it's clear that both have great many issues before they can be together...
Hmmm... Some parts are good, but the plot took a while to get going. And even then, it felt as if the author threw in an amnesia trope near to end to prolong the agony for a bit. 4/5
