GRR Review Silk and Spurs (Rough and Ready Book 1 by Cheyenne McCray

Silk and Spurs followed the typical romantic suspense formula: a kidnapping. However, this particular variation was done with no "too stupid to live" moments for either the FMC or MMC, and the evil ones get proper karma before the end.

Jessie was to be the photographer for Zane's wedding, but she caught some pictures of Zane's fiancee doing something else. When Zane called off the wedding, the ex-fiancee decided Jessie was the reason and started a campaign to either kill her or force her away, forcing her into Zane's protection... 

The way Zane and Jessie fell for each other was a bit too... convenient, almost like love at first sight. But the subsequent struggles are quite emotional. Still, nothing really stood out.
