GRR Review: A Stone in the Sea by A.L. Jackson

A Stone in the Sea is one emotional ride between Sebastian, a rock star, and Shea Bentley, a waitress and single mom.

Sebastian was afraid to fall in love with Shea, but he recognized a kindred soul that both have been grievously wounded by circumstances. However, Sebastian knew bad things happen to people around him due to his fame, yet there is a raw attraction there that neither can deny. However, Shea had some deep secrets she's hiding. And when a beach outing almost turned into tragedy, that deep dark secret came back and threaten to destroy them both.

The emotions are raw and searing, even as Sebastian and his bandmates are fighting for their stage lives, trying not to be recognized by fans, while avoiding being manipulated by their agent/manager who may have killed one of their younger brothers by giving him drugs when he was trying to get clean. My ONLY complaint is this book ended on a cliffhanger ending with the rest to be resolved in the 2nd book Drowning to Breathe (Bleeding Stars Book 2)

Category: Contemporary

Primary Plot: Rock star found a kindred soul in the single mom waitress in a cafe in the middle of nowhere, then her secret threatened them both

Overall Rating:  4/5
