GRR Reviews The Trouble With Tinsel by Kelly Collins

The Trouble with Tinsel is a second chance romance between Beau, a rock star, and Mandy, a single parent and a pastry/sweets chef. The ending was rather... annoying.

Beau and Mandy once planned a future together, having grown up together, but they had separate dreams, and each believed they sacrificed themselves to stay apart so each can have their respective dreams. Ten years later, Beau and Mandy are both back in Blue Mountain, "just for the Holidays". Mandy's now a single parent, and Mandy's mom hurt her wrist. Beau tries to rekindle the romance with Mandy, while dodging Mandy's son Tommy and the two "grandmas" (Mandy's mom and Beau's mom). But when push comes to shove, Beau may have to go back to LA, and Mandy can't leave...

Frankly, these "sacrifice oneself for the other" reasoning gets a bit old at times, as the perp never 1) asks the other if it is okay, and 2) if there is another way. It's passive-aggressive behavior, and it's kinda annoying. Good thing that the romance makes up for it.
