GRR Reviews Sultry in Stilettos (A Sultry Contemporar by Nana Malone
Sultry in Stilettos is a contemporary "office" romance of a company in turmoil, and two people competing for the same position found themselves can't quite stand each other, but can't really live without each other as well. Add a bit of suspense, and it can be quite interesting!
Ricca Munroe, one of the planners at Fantasy Events, is a shy individual with an active imagination... and a sad love life, dating a lot of Mr. Wrongs. She can be promoted to vice president if she can nail this latest contract... except for her competition, Beckett Mills, who's also her best friend, if man and woman and be such a thing. Beckett always wanted to know if he and Ricca can be more than friends, but Ricca was not going to take it any further, esp. not when both are competing for the same position. But when someone was sabotaging his and her latest contract from within, Beckett and Ricca better figure things out quickly... or it may be more than their relationship at stake... but their lives...
There was an excellent twist at the end that made TOTAL sense if you had been catching the hints dropped along the way. The tension between the MMC and FMC are palpable but not overwhelming. All in all, an interesting variation on "office romance".
