GRR Reviews Mr. Trouble (London Billionaire) by Nana Malone
Jarred Maloney has plenty of money, and his playboy lifestyle is making his father weary. In order to make him shape up, Jarred is forced to 1) find a job he likes in the company, even if it's to run the Formula racing team the company owns, and 2) find a steady girlfriend, not the all-weekend partying with as many girls as he can grab. Jarred hated the restrictions, and he just wanted to game the system... that means finding a fake wife, but one that his dad would accept... enter Kinsley, her father's PA. // Kinsley found that the building that contained her apartment is being turned into a condo and unless she can come up with 100000 pounds as down payment, she'll lose the place. She moved temporarily into one of the executive suite of the company not in use. She found to her horror her next door neighbor is none other than Jarred, owner's son, and he had a proposal for her: fake-engage him, and when he got his inheritance, he'll pay her half a million quids... She's torn among "this is so wrong", "I need the money", "this is cheating my boss", "oh he's so hot", "I'm not worthy"... but eventually, she agreed... But when Jarred started to have real feelings for her...
You can probably write the story from there, as the plot is trope, involving shame, one of them will figure "I have to save you by breaking your heart" and leave, but the other somehow averts that. This book really is no exception. However, the chemistry between the two is pretty good.
Category: Contemporary

GRR Reviews Mr. Big (London Billionaires) by Nana Malone
Mr. Big is a pretty typical "my bestie's little sister" romance with the only twist in that it's set in London.
Zach is rich and comfortable after creating a whole series of hit clubs. He can have any women he wanted, but he only really wanted a woman he can't have, Emma, his best friend's little sister. Also, he had a deep dark secret he had yet to share. He can never deserve Emma. When Emma came to London to attend school, Zach was tasked to keep her safe. But Emma wanted Zach for a very long time, and she will have him, and he will not be able to resist for long...
Honestly, the plot is trope, the characters are pretty average, and after reading it, nothing stood out.

GRR Reviews Sexy in Stilettos (Sexy Contemporary) by Nana Malone
Sexy in Stilettos is a contemporary romance with a woman betrayed by her own family to find her own worth with help of a friend and a lover who is richer than he seems.
Jaya Trueax, an event planner, was hyper-organized until she was blind-sided by her entire family, including her ex-fiancee, when she prepared a presentation to her client her way and was fired from her family business. With no fiancee, no job, and fully humiliated, and still expected to attend a family wedding in a few weeks, Jaya left the office in tears and ran into total stranger Alec Danthers in the elevator, who let her cry on him. Alec is a half-blood whose father was one of the richest men around, and he was just here to resolve the problem of his brother Max who pulled a disappearing act, leaving the clubs and restaurant he was supposed to manage in a mess. Alec was a bit of a manwhore and live for the moment, and was surprised to find himself falling for Jaya, the sassy-listmaking, and uptight woman, and he lead Jaya to see her true worth... and be a bit more spontaneous, but is that enough for Alec to consider settling down, even as he tries to untangle his brother's mess, which apparently involved the mob...
The push-pull was quite good, but the mob reference was a bit vague and light. The character arc was quite good. All in all, enjoyable story.

GRR Reviews Sultry in Stilettos (A Sultry Contemporar by Nana Malone
Sultry in Stilettos is a contemporary "office" romance of a company in turmoil, and two people competing for the same position found themselves can't quite stand each other, but can't really live without each other as well. Add a bit of suspense, and it can be quite interesting!
Ricca Munroe, one of the planners at Fantasy Events, is a shy individual with an active imagination... and a sad love life, dating a lot of Mr. Wrongs. She can be promoted to vice president if she can nail this latest contract... except for her competition, Beckett Mills, who's also her best friend, if man and woman and be such a thing. Beckett always wanted to know if he and Ricca can be more than friends, but Ricca was not going to take it any further, esp. not when both are competing for the same position. But when someone was sabotaging his and her latest contract from within, Beckett and Ricca better figure things out quickly... or it may be more than their relationship at stake... but their lives...
There was an excellent twist at the end that made TOTAL sense if you had been catching the hints dropped along the way. The tension between the MMC and FMC are palpable but not overwhelming. All in all, an interesting variation on "office romance".
Category: Contemporary / Romantic Suspense
Primary Plot: Woman found her competing with her best friend (and potential love interest) for promotion, but he wanted her for a long time...
Tropes: co-worker, friends to lovers

GRR Reviews Mr. Cocky: London Billionaires by Nana Malone
NOTE: The book is currently unavailable as of this review's publication.
Mr. Cocky is about a man who seduced his boss, but was under threat to spy on her company from her rival brother. The angst is barely there.
Nick is going places, and he's just couple months shy of finishing his masters. Then he can find a real job and get out of the bartending job, put his mom in a real place to life instead of the crime-infested apartment, and maybe, put his brother on the straight-and-narrow. In the meanwhile, he will get by with flirting at his bartending jobs, no more taking women for a quick romp, even if they are perfectly willing, and he's one handsome guy, and cocky, of course. That is, until his brother came to him, needing 10000 smackers or else the bad guys will take it out of his hide. Then the devil known as Simon came to Nick... Simon believes his sister Selena should not be leading their father's company... He should. So he wants a spy in Selena's company, and Nick going to intern there any way. Nick needed the money, so he acquiesced, and found Selena, his boss, to be extremely charming, yet innocent, and Nick knows exactly how to please a woman like that... But the more Nick wooed Selena, the more real his emotions got. Can Nick play both sides? Or will his family cost his love?
There are several problems that made the book below average. 1) Simon was too "cliche bad". He is just full of ego and believes he can run the company better, so how would a spy help him accomplish that? That wasn't explained. 2) Where does a rich guy like that find thugs anyway? The phonebook? Yet Simon employed thugs multiple times to push Nick back in line 3) The MMC and FMC did not resolve their problems. A deus ex machina was thrown in and the day was saved through some divine intervention. WTF?! That's cheating.
